Back in the days they were just awesome, because of the graphics. It introduced a whole new lay-out. I mean if you look at the 2nd gen, they had the same graphics, which kinda sucked. Though since the 4th gen is out, these games became a little too boring, simply because they were quite old, and the graphics in the 4th gen were way better.

I do like the 3rd gen since the graphics were better and they introduced a new feature, diving. I really liked how it was the first game to let their players dive under water. too bad they took it out for most of the other games.

I reeeeallly love 3rd gen i have played through each game atleast 5 times, but 4th gen reallly set the bar high.

I absolutely loved 3rd gen, it was the best generation imo. I mean a whole new battle style, they completely revamped the battle style, the graphics... everything was amazing, so far my favorite generation, I'm saying 5th gen is great right now too, but we'll see in about 5 or 6 months I thought the same about 4th gen, but then it died... fast. Anyways, my opinion BEST GAMES EVAR!
